Navigation Sounds is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension is designed to be a functional tool for playing custom audio cues during standard browser events. It operates entirely on your local device and does not collect, store, or transmit any user data.

2. DATA COLLECTION AND USAGE
This extension does not collect any personal identification information, such as names, email addresses, or account credentials. The extension does not track your browsing history or monitor the content of the websites you visit. 

When you upload custom audio files (e.g., .ogg, .wav, .mp3) for your soundpacks, these files are processed locally, converted into text strings (Base64), and saved exclusively to your browser's local storage database (chrome.storage.local). All script logic, including monitoring browser events and playing audio, occurs entirely within your local browser environment. Absolutely no data, audio files, or telemetry are sent to external servers.

3. THIRD-PARTY DATA DISCLOSURE
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. Since no data is collected or transmitted off your device, there is zero data to share.

4. PERMISSIONS
The permissions requested by this extension (such as storage, tabs, downloads, and webNavigation) are used solely to provide the necessary functionality to detect browser events and trigger your saved audio files. These permissions are strictly used as event listeners and do not allow the extension to read, harvest, or transmit your personal data or the content of the sites you visit.
